It's maddening when the sellers neglect to take even the smallest of precautions to protect the typewriters they ship! Glad you were able to cool off and get the Oliver presentable again. It looks lovely - the body style reminds me of several typewriters of that era. Rheinmetall in particular, I think, had a ribbon color change switch in the exact same position on some of their portables.
I have always liked the shape of the black Oliver - Patria had a glossy black version that is particularly fetching.
