I kind of like (an miss) the shops like that (an apartment above and a shop below all in a row).Bill Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14649212489891769390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8655653784122131754.post-34756392382496896942014-01-25T01:59:38.510-05:002014-01-25T01:59:38.510-05:00Ken and Ray's win the prize for best streetsca...Ken and Ray's win the prize for best streetscape. He's already had three heart attacks. How uplifting it would be for some young person to work as an apprentice and learn from someone with decades of experience. It's sad to think, but we may be seeing the end of the neighborhood typewriter shop. How much longer will Smitty be able to keep his doors open? How many of the shops you've listed will still be open next year? 5 years from now?

ClarkAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8655653784122131754.post-37080528547289677442014-01-24T10:12:04.814-05:002014-01-24T10:12:04.814-05:00The truth is that there were only 3 entries. And once again a window into the weirdness and skill of our wonderful typewriter community. Any chance of seeing more of the entries? An "Honorable Mention" category?
