Modern office supply chain stores have completely lost the charm and effect of their ancestors. It's what happens when the life is drained from things, and all that's left is cost and product. These old typewriters help me to remember what was lost, but your essay did a pointedly good job of putting what many of us feel into words. Thank you for writing this.

By the way, I posted a public link to this entry on Facebook. Sad the way the digital medium has replaced that over the years. It is comforting to see my kids constantly emptying the paper tray on the Brother printer and even better to see them dragging out their Remingtons and Royals to write to my parents. The hunger continues...Michael Davenporthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11165389504901806131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8655653784122131754.post-24966169151147706732014-07-07T08:34:46.085-04:002014-07-07T08:34:46.085-04:00Fantastic poem.Fantastic poem.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8655653784122131754.post-18370947885998324972014-07-07T08:22:58.023-04:002014-07-07T08:22:58.023-04:00Beautiful, and a reminder, of what we take for gra...Beautiful, and a reminder, of what we take for granted!
