I intend to make some serious progress on slimming down my typewriter collection this fall.
My first listing on eBay is a Pluma 22. — A what? — That's the Spanish counterpart to the Lettera 22, minus tabulator. And this one is pink.

ReplyDeleteHa ha, not too obvious for me! I shamelessly put "Barbie" in the auction title. And it worked: the first bidder says, "Hoping to win this for my daughter who is a pink-lover / Barbie lover!"
DeleteCongratulations on the recently concluded auction of the chrome Studio 44! I tried my best to assume stewardship of the beautiful machine, but some collectors have unlimited resources, it appears. Hope it found a good home!

ReplyDeleteThanks. In fact, I am limiting this one to US buyers, since international shipping has gotten very expensive and cumbersome. If you do want to look into buying one a bit closer to home, keep your eye on the Spanish site todocoleccion.net. There is currently one pink Pluma there, and the seller does ship internationally.
DeleteWhy not use eBay's Global Shipping Program where the seller ships to a central location in the US and eBay takes over from there? Then the buyer can decide if it's too expensive or not?

So far I've sold an Olivetti Valentine, Elgin Collegiate, MBM Mercury, Remington Noiseless Portable in deluxe leather case, USB Olympia SM3, Victor 10, Calanda, chromed Olivetti Studio 44, and this Pluma. A Sténotype Grandjean failed to sell. I did have to slow down recently because of a family situation, but I'd like to get some more machines on the market in the next couple of months.
