A surprisingly grim New Year's poem

Hmm, where did that come from?

On a happier note, I stopped by St. Vincent de Paul's and picked up an Olivetti Lettera 33 for three bucks!

  1. An Olivetti Lettera 33 for three bucks??? What a great catch! :) I'm still searching for one (I have an Olivetti wish-list) but no luck yet... They seem to be rare in Europe...

  2. Sometimes you just have to grimly spit it out.

Nice find at an excellent price!

  3. Not too grim, but true. Congratulations on your recent find.

  4. "... you are a fetus in decline."
What can I say? Grim but well-conceived (pun intended).

After reading the poem, I need to see your Lettera 33 from heaven.

    New Year greetings.

  5. I especially like that third line, "unnamed day sucking the juice of a dead year." Really interesting imagery.

That typeface is lovely. What is it from?
