"Hash tag in the urinal"? Yes, some supposedly Normal Person was texting in the loo.
Tomorrow's type-in is also at a pub. I'm going to stagger out of England as a typing drunkard. Cheers!
Keep Calm

In solidarity, I type with you on my own Remington Noiseless today, with a homebrewed ale at my side.
ReplyDeleteThat Erika is beautiful!
Looks like a nice time was had there, Richard. And the photo of the Erika is positively catalogue quality. And I've looked at a LOT of catalogues in my time.
ReplyDeleteThat Erika...
ReplyDeleteAnd the story.
Lots of excellence going on today. :D
Fan-Bloody-Tastic! (Love that Erika).
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the type-in! It looked fantastic. Typewriters and a few beers.
ReplyDeleteI love that old Erika.
This is awesome! Love Piotr's typewriter group shot.
ReplyDeleteWith every passing post I feel more and more tempted to "hunt" a Kolibri for the collection. There's one on sale in the local e-Pay affiliate... decisions, decisions...
ReplyDeleteNick's Erika was quite the looker, with its pinstripes and immaculate paint and nickel. And I should add that it was the deluxe model, with keyset tab stops and a lever that very smoothly starts you typing d o u b l e - s p a c ed .
ReplyDelete*Don't* mention the war! I did it once, but I think I got away with it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome type-in! I loved the story and the meeting minutes.
Erika.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is all I can say - while drooling.
I see Bikethru's on a stealth finish Noiseless. Cunning. No reflections. And a good sized turnout - I wish I could have made it. And there are worse ways of staggering out of England :-)
ReplyDeleteYes!!
ReplyDeleteAnd a very nice Erika.
Excellent photos and reporting! Yet another successful Poltboro rally!
ReplyDeleteAlthough balancing the typewriter on the knees with the wind trying to blow away the paper, I really like Bikethru's story!
ReplyDeleteIm with everyone here: Erika envy!
ReplyDeleteI love how the typewriter brings so many together
