This is a piece of commercial art from India that I spotted on eBay. It seems to have been directed at women who might want to open a typing school ... and were targeted by typewriter manufacturers? Hard to say. Interesting how typewriters are associated with Western dress and hairstyles, and thus modernity.
Dammit, I wanna join.

DeleteWho's the girl in your background art?

DeleteVery interesting. I wonder how old it is.
Delete'40s? '50s?
DeleteOooo - that would be fun. That date could be a wee tricky, though.
ReplyDeleteI'll be there with two typers, unless I get a last-minute work assignment. See you then! :D
