I had the same experience this November when one night it became clear to me what the climax of the story was to be. It was an exciting moment, and a big relief!
I am a little late to the Richard Polt novel party. Fortunately, Ted M. pointed me in this direction. I downloaded both parts and will dive into them tonight.
