How lovely. Have you read "The Summer Book," also by Tove Jansson? No typewriters in it, but childhood memories of hot summers, nature, and something almost mystical I've never been able to put my finger on.
I haven't read it, but have heard of it. Jansson has a special magic that can captivate both children and adults. I'm sure I would enjoy that book!
