It's not as secure as the original Olympia cases, certainly. But then, I don't plan on letting the case out of my hands. I think if I had to trust it to some airline baggage conveyor belt or the like, I would swaddle the machine in foam or bubble wrap.
Ooohlypia!
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought the suitcase is such a creative idea and then I saw the "Olympia" label... bravo!
ReplyDeleteIngenuity at its finest. Nice case
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! You've bought a case with the same brand name that your typewriter. That's just genious :)
ReplyDeleteBut let's just say a gorilla (for instance) gets hold of that suitcase. Will you be certain that your beautiful machine is safe?

DeleteSweet! You could do a lot worse, like the cases for the Olivetti's of the 60s and 70s.

ReplyDeleteKudos for being the first person this century to buy luggage specifically to ferry a typewriter.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I think the bag and the choice of name is cool.... How beautiful is that typewriter! Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteNot sure which one I like the most... but on balance it has to be the red Olympia, just by a nose though.
