  1. Beautiful! :D

I have a much uglier Champion with a host of issues, and it still has a wonderful, precise but light typing touch. Amazingly built machines, those Underwoods (:

  2. What a delightful Underwood, and accompanying seller! I've had that happen to me before, it's quite nice to get a free typewriter to work on, whether you can get it working right or not.

  3. Both of those typewriters look factory fresh. I have a Champion that types really great in spite of its shift problem. I'll put all of my early Underwoods up against any model typewriter for great typing. Like the old Timex commercial, they just keep on ticking, ah clacking.

  4. Cool darlings and not depressing (:
Glad to see the maroon Royal find all cleaned up. The green on the Underwood is really nice.

I have a new surprise machine due for cleaning and coming up as soon as I get my writing done this week.

  5. Both of those are gorgeous little machines. Great to see them getting out! Sad to see you couldn't make it to WV.

  6. I've got the Underwood Universal crinkle paint version -one of the finest typewriters I own. They do have a great touch and feel to them. They would have had to have been built to a high standard, as the Navy used them as "radio mills" during the WW2 era. The green sure is a beauty!
