Would you please enlighten me about the numbers on the side panel? It looks like some sort of typing action adjustment, but I don't see how it works with no visible lever.
Congratulations, Cam. I am very happy with mine (found on the floor of an antique mall in December). The panel indicates key tension, which is adjusted with a wheel on the bottom of the typewriter, as on older models.
