New 3D-printed elements for the IBM Selectric

  2. Surprisingly, the original elements are electroplated plastic resin, not all-metal!

  3. Great use of 3D printing. As a technology, it continues to drop in price for ordinary plastics and improve performance with high quality resins. Even if the balls do not last as long as the originals, well, as the saying goes, we'll just make more!

  4. Is this ball 88 or 92 liters (IBM Selectric I or II, III? Is it possible to do this for a Cyrillic font?

    1. 88 characters. In theory, it's possible to make one with Cyrillic characters. You can contact Dave Hayden through his website.
