My list of nearly 200 typewriters for sale went out to about 300 people on Saturday morning. I've had a good response, with about 1/3 of the typewriters sold or receiving bids so far.
There is a good opportunity now to acquire the remaining 2/3 at quite affordable prices, as long as you're willing to pick them up in Cincinnati by the end of May (perhaps at the May 2 swap meet). Here are pics of a few of the remaining machines. If you're interested, email me and I'll send you a spreadsheet.
How long will bidding be open?
ReplyDeleteGood question.
DeleteI think I'll wait until next weekend before I start selling for anything less than the high ("buy it now") price. After that, I'll start seriously considering offers that have come in (and those that may come in later). It partly depends on the particular machine.
I do want to settle everything that has received a bid before the swap meet (that is, I will either accept the highest bid or decide that the machine will not be sold).
Of course, I will keep all bidders informed about any competing or winning bids, and about my decisions.
