Wow. These similiarities. I once compared the Optima Elite and the Olympia SM-3, and the biggest difference was the red chassis on the Olympia. I haven't published that yet, though.

ReplyDeleteHow did that happen? I was right in the middle of a short photo essay comparing Good Companions. Spooky. Is the P1 the equivalent of the SF? It looks a bit chunkier.
ReplyDeleteThe P1 is Optima's version of the prewar Olympia-Plana -- a small machine but not quite as small as the SF.
DeleteThat's a very nice family photo. And now I realize that the M10 wouldn't have same impact if it was in green also (or any other color).
