cool! speaking of hard platens, I learned from the downloaded owner's manual that the 88 had several platen options including a brass one for multiple carbons. bet it's not THAT hard.
It looks great! Perhaps the type was never cleaned, but some quality time with toothpicks will soon take care of that.
I much prefer this style of the Triumph, before they moved on to the boxy plastic bodies of the Gabriele series (or Adler J2 and J5). The keys are the same though, I think.
