That Olivetti is over the top gorgeous! Given the alternatives, I would probably pick the VOSS. I have not typed on one, but would expect semi-obsessive German quality.
The Olivetti is really a masterpiece, and the red-black ribbon together with the red case is great. And the typeface looks almost printed. I'd take along all three, 100 miles each. :)
Darn! I had hoped it was the Voss. That way I could bring mine to compare some things that have been plaguing me. Still, I think there will be enough typewriters around to soften the blow.
The Remie looks cute. The next week, I'll be travelling on a houseboat in France, the typewriter that comes with me is already chosen: The Hermes 3000. Meanwhile, a quiz series will take place at maschinengeschrieben.blogspot.com. Are you participating?

ReplyDeleteI should mention that this is a pseudotypecast using my Byron Mark II font.
ReplyDeleteOK, the roadcaster is going to be the Remington 333. I hope to post some of its work and some road photos this evening.
