  2. What a nice post for typewriter day! Greetings from overseas! For the serial number, could it be that there is an additional number on another spot? Schramm mentions "links am Tastenführungskamm"...

    1. There's no number on the keyboard comb on this one. Thanks though!

  4. Mmmm! The creamy colour is great. I never tried a Triumph but it looks purposeful. Have a great rest of Typewriter Day!

  5. The spacebar is intact!

I think it'd definitely be worth seeing if you can match the paint and paint yourself a second metal spool.

  8. Hi Richard, lovely typewriter - I have a Triumph Perfekt which also has four digits on the carriage rail 3322, but mine also has a very clear serial number in white digits on a small plate that is screwed onto the lefthand side of the keyboard comb (number running vertically and upwards): 414738 which dates it to 1940. Hope yours isn't missing - any spare holes directly behind the ribbon selector?

    1. Thanks for the suggestion. I checked right away, but no, there's nothing there. There is a strip of metal that seems connected to a foot, but nothing stamped into it. No separate plate, no holes for one. Mysterious!
