Royal Executive: typeface and font

If you ever see a typewriter with a key like this, you've got something special.

Here's an ad posted by Peter S. on Facebook. The exact phrase is "overcomes objections to the more usual faces."

  1. Wow! I'm limiting my collection to unique typefaces these days.

  5. Thanks for sharing this machine! I know some think it might be a bit homely, but the HH has a certain handsomeness to me (the eye of the beholder)! Let me know when it's up for auction - I'd love to bid on it!!

    1. Thanks. I'll be selling it locally in Cincinnati, though.

  6. Reminds me why I bought a Mac in the late 80s. Font choices that overcome objections!

  7. Sherry cans a lot in late summer and early fall. My Executive HH make great canning labels. Vintage typestyle looks great on those jars!

  8. I just discovered a Montgomery Ward (Brother) Signature 510 with Executive typeface! how cool is that? :)

    1. I recently saw a Montgomery Ward Signature machine with it too. I just bought a 1966 Royal Safari with Executive. It's a fun typeface, and it's also silly. I type business correspondence with typewriters, and I won't be sending letters to clients with Executive typeface!
