Congratulations, you've got something in rougher condition than my Oliver #9. What did you do? ink the slugs by hand and press the paper against them, sequentially? No way that thing has parts that actually move!
What in the world is that?! And, I really want your gold Royal, but I doubt I'll be able to afford it :( Oh, and what typewriter are you getting that you need to sell the gold Royal for funds?
I agree with MTC - no way that thing typed your text! I think this is a bit of trickery here - something else with moving parts must have typed, otherwise you wouldn't have enough force to puncture a hole through the "o" in polishing. But what? And how? Sometimes, if I forget to re-engage the paper release, I get crooked letters...
That thing looks brand new!
ReplyDeleteWow a genuine Flintstone Rock-riter!

ReplyDeleteA can of WD-40 will fix that right up! :D
ReplyDeletePicked it up just today, did you?
ReplyDeleteJust dip it in a little evapo-rust and it's as good as new.
ReplyDeleteAn archeologist would go nuts for that.
