The Fantastic Typewriter (DC Comic)

PS: To state the obvious: your sentence must be typewritten!

  1. I thought it looked like a Hermes Baby myself.
    Hey remember this?

  2. Ha! Yeah that storyline is an oldy but a goody. See also "The Word Processor of the Gods" by Stephen King.

  3. I was thinking an Olivetti just from the green color. But it lacked the red key, so I s'pose not.

  4. In the second picture, I also thought a bit of a Hermes Baby, later, it resembled of an early Hermes Media. But it isn't really one of them.

  5. Mmm, scratches head. That's a tough competition!

  6. That poor typewriter, ending up in the water! I can only image how stuck the typebars must be now...

No idea what model it could be; although at times it reminded me of a plastic Japanese-made Silver Reed.

I wish I could type myself into some of my childhood favorites... but I suppose that would be a whole other sort of plagiarism!

  8. I love that last line. As for the story, the words that come to mind are: amusing, formulaic and stultifying.

    Great comic and fun project...
