  1. The neighborhood you’re in looks fun to explore - and now I want some potato pancakes! Hope they were as good as they look!

  2. Sure looks like a fun place to visit. The places all look interesting. Pickled tongue on the menu seems more fitting for where I grew up than San Francisco.

    1. I should have known that you'd know the place!

  4. If it's the same Pinecrest, then you were dining very close to my professional digs, within bell-ringing distance of the Powell cable car and with frequent out-of-towners looking for Union Square and a bite. You timed this perfectly as we've forgotton what the sun looked like, and the City just got a multi-week wash from the rain. Almost makes those pricey eggs worthwhile. :-)

  5. If you learn to observe and enjoy a place you live in life becomes much richer. I don't understand most people, who seem content to taste only the most bland portions of life. They should have been seeing all the same things you saw. Sometimes I look at the mountains here, which I see all the time, and I think "Wow! I LIVE here!"

  6. Have enjoyed both posts! I am a huge fan of San Francisco. It is ever changing and no matter how many trips there ... something new and wonderful is around any corner. My favorite eatery is the Rosamunde Sausage Grill near the Haight.
