Scenes from a type-in

Today's type-in at Sitwell's coffeehouse in Cincinnati was a success, bringing typists from as far away as Chicago.

Thanks to Leigh Whitaker (who's "introverted but willing to discuss typewriters") for helping to organize this event, and designing the great poster for it. We never did have the typing contest—we were having too much fun chatting and trying out each other's machines.

  1. Looks like a great event. Congratulations!
Glad everyone had a good time. I thought about trying to attend, but we had a few too many things going on at the same time.

  2. I last attended a type-in at Stillwell's about 10 years ago. Sorry, I could not attend this time of year. I see some of my favorite people were there.

  3. Great! I'm using my typewriters to write reception reports to the international shortwave radio stations. A world that is disappearing... another piece of analog world that is dying.
