When attending the neighbors’ Thanksgiving feast, I was glad to see that they had the typewriter out for guests to write a collective poem. The kids were especially enthusiastic.

ReplyDeleteSome years ago, I had planned to bring a typewriter to my 30-year high school reunion, and leave it out for people to type memories of the class. I didn't follow through, and still regret it.
ReplyDeleteNo domingo, dia 17 de dezembro, comemorando os 94 anos da matriarca da familia, levei uma Underwood Noiseless e papel azul, e coloquei em uma mesa improvisada, diante um espelho e alguns adereços. Convidei a todos presentes para comporem uma carta ou um poema de homenagem. Idosos, adultos, adultos jovens, adolescentes e até os pequenos se interessaram vivamente. No final da comemoração tínhamos uma bela carta de quatro páginas datilografas, nos mais variados estilos e sentimentos, um bom punhado de fotos das pessoas debruçadas na própria curiosidade, e em breve esse material se transformará em um livro para presentear a aniversariante ! Agradeço a maravilhosa ideia desse post, de onde tirei a minha singela aventura datilográfica...
