Thirty-three for three

By request, here's a photo of the Lettera 33 I picked up at the thrift store for $3. Good-looking for a plastic-bodied machine, especially after I blew out the hairy dust and wiped it down with Pledge. It will go to some deserving person sooner or later. (The Consul 221 pictured here on November 27 now belongs to a student, and the cursive Hermes 3000 from December 11 is going to a colleague. I get a kick out of spreading the typewriter goodness.)

I also recently bought several rare typewriters that will turn up on this blog sooner or later.

On a happier note, I stopped by St. Vincent de Paul's and picked up an Olivetti Lettera 33 for three bucks!

PPS: This is what a Noiseless (not Remington/Underwood Noiseless) Portable looks like, for those who aren't familiar with it. Mine isn't working terribly well, unfortunately.
